TVS as a Socially Responsible Company

Last week I had written about Nirma and its efforts as a socially responsible corporate citizen.This time I am writing about TVS,India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturing company.It really feels good when big companies having all the power and resources make sincere efforts towards giving back something to the society.

TVS has formed and funded Srinivasan Services Trust (SST) for the purpose of  community development, infrastructure development, and improving the standard of living across the adopted villages.

Srinivasan Services Trust undertakes important activities that support economic development and education.SST has also focused on computer education for school students.SST has also given importance to health care and other health related activities such as health camps.

SST (Supported by Rural Agro Research & Development Society and Kutch Nav Nirman Abhiyan) has has rebuilt “Goyersama” a village in  Gujarat. SST has also done Tsunami Relief work ,such as, providing food , blankets and medical facilities for the Tsunami hit areas.
