Samsung in legal battle over internet domain name

This interesting news tells us how Samsung Electronics has got involved in a legal battle with a local fast food supply chain over the domain name: www.sens.co.kr

What happened was that Samsung registered ‘SENS’ as a trademark for its computers and monitors in the year 1996 and the Korean fast food chain registered the domain name two years later.

The fast food chain has filed a lawsuit appealing against an earlier decision that the Internet domain name should be handed over to Samsung.The local food chain says that they have nothing to do with computers.
