The launch of .asia domain names

The new top level dot asia website suffix is now available for the Governments and Companies.This is the latest region specific domain being offered for sale after the dot eu domain in 2006.

This is the “sunrise” period in which the trademark owners have a chance to register .asia domain names.The domain will be available for the general public in February 2008.

Efforts towards creating the .asia domain began way back in the year 2000.The DotAsia Organisation got the approval in October 2006.
