Important milestone for Tata Consultancy:USD 1.2 Billion outsourcing Deal

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has bagged an outsourcing deal with The Nielsen Company.The deal is worth $1.2 Billion and is of a 10 year time period.This is the largest outsourcing deal ever by an Indian IT company.

The Nielsen Company is the leading global information and media company which is into the business of market information,with ACNielsen and media information with Nielsen media research.The Nielsen Company also owns business publication brands like The Hollywood Reporter,Billboard and Adweek.

TCS is one of the leading IT Companies in the world,providing business solutions to clients from a wide number of industries like Banking ,Healthcare,Retail and Telecom .TCS offers services such as outsourcing,consulting,IT services,Engineering and industrial services.

In this deal TCS is going to offer services like knowledge process outsourcing ,IT related services,back up services and HR maintenance services.TCS is going to takeover Nielsen’s Knowledge processing outsourcing centre located in Baroda,India.This centre is worth $ 350 million.

The contract had a positive effect as the TCS shares went up by 5% on Thursday.Later, the gains went down,because of the market fall and shares closed at a value more by 2.2%.
