Venture capital firm ASAP Ventures,has bought recycle.co.uk in a record breaking domain name sale.

The company has paid  £ 150,000 for the domain name.

What was the previous record?

J Sainsbury had bought taste.co.uk for  £ 110,000 in the year 1997
