Billionaire Anil Ambani’s Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group or ADAG is ready to enter the IT consulting and serivces business segment.
The group has formed a new company called Tech Reliance for this business and plans to open six development centres across India by the end of December 2008.
The company will utilize the skill and talent of the strong in-house IT team.
The company will provide services such as outsourcing, consultancy, infrastructure management, software development etc.The company wants to be in the list of the top five IT companies in India.
I must say that this is an ambitious move by Anil Ambani since some big companies are already in this sector.
Tech Reliance will have competitors such as TCS,Wipro,IBM and Accenture. This business move may seem risky because of the competitors, strong rupee and the US slowdown.
I feel that this is great move since business means expansion and looking for new areas for growth. This will be good for the business and the shareholders.
