    Hi Anand,

I feel acting is a good career option.

Looking at the media boom, the industry will always require trained/qualified actors.

You never know when you make it big by getting a break in a film or a TV serial!

Since you are a software engineer, you can always take a break from work and take up a short course for 3 or 6 months to see how things work out.

    Hi Mohit,

There is a high demand for talented actors for TV serials and Films.

One should always take proper training before looking for work. You can choose a long term or a short term course, its your choice.

You should apply in more than one institute.

You should also enquire about the placements.

    All the best.

    please tell.

  50. KunalNo Gravatar Says:

    heres my no
    9953109822

  51. adminNo Gravatar Says:

Well I feel that filmmaking has more scope since it covers all aspects of movie making.

Initially, even Shahrukh Khan wanted to be a director.

Imran Khan (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na) pursued a course in filmmaking in the US.

And of course Farhan Akther (Rock On and Luck by Chance) directed DCH, Lakshya, and Don, before making his acing debut.

  52. KunalNo Gravatar Says:

thanx,so which is the best for doing a course in filmmaking

  53. adminNo Gravatar Says:

    There are many options.

Most the above mentioned institutes offer courses in filmmaking as well.

Some of the best filmmaking institutes in India are FTII, Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute and Whistling Woods.

You can also visit http://www.filmmaking.co.in for information on film schools.

  54. KunalNo Gravatar Says:

sir,can u tell me on what basis does whistling woods select students and what chances i have?

  55. adminNo Gravatar Says:

You can visit the website of Whistling Woods and go to the application information page under Admissions for more information.

And i also want to continue my studies incase i dont become an actor, SO PLEASE HELP ME, WILL BE PATIENTLY WAITING FOR UR RESPONSE. THANK YOU

  115. adminNo Gravatar Says:

Shravan, I am glad that you are also serious about your studies.

You can enroll for a part time course at college level so that your studies are not affected.

You can also wait till your studies are over and then pursue a full time course.

  116. shravanNo Gravatar Says:

i m thinking baout only taking a 6month course at anupan khers acting school, and then make my portfolio and give to different ads and directors and stuff

  117. adminNo Gravatar Says:

Cool. That is a good option.

  118. shravanNo Gravatar Says:

do u guys think that there will be a indian acting school in america?

  119. adminNo Gravatar Says:

Good question Shravan. I am quite sure that will happen soon. Bollywood is establishing a global presence at a tremendous rate.

Because bollywood movies are different, there needs to be an acting school that specializes in training students for a career in the Indian film industry.

  120. ShravanNo Gravatar Says:

dont u guys think that getting into bollywood is 95% luck?

is 25 year a old age to start modeling/acting? cuz i wanna finish my studies first in america. wht do u guys suggest i should do?

  129. adminNo Gravatar Says:

I think 25 is a great age to start acting.

Hritik was 26 at the time of Kaho Na Pyar Hai. Ranbir Kapoor was 25 when he made his debut as a hero in Saawariya. Imran Khan was also 25 at the time of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.

Even SRK was around that age when he joined films as a leading actor.
